Historic neighbourhoods and older construction

Kenwood, Old Northeast and Roser Park have some of the oldest intact housing stock in the region, and renovating cabinetry in those houses is mostly a question of working with what is there. Walls are out of plumb, floors run out of level across a room, and original trim is worth matching. Building to nominal dimensions in those conditions produces visible tapering gaps; building to scribe does not.

Many of these houses also have small, closed kitchens that were never designed around modern appliances. The useful work is often less about the cabinetry finish than about recovering usable volume, full-height runs, drawer banks instead of base cabinets with a single shelf, and a layout that accounts for a dishwasher that did not exist when the house was built.

Coastal exposure

St. Pete's proximity to open water changes the specification on anything outdoors and on some things indoors. Salt in the air attacks hardware and fasteners before it touches the box, so outdoor kitchen and lanai cabinetry near the Gulf or the bay gets a corrosion-resistant hardware specification as a matter of course. For waterfront properties we will walk the exposure before quoting rather than assume it.

Restaurants and bars

The St. Pete dining scene generates steady demand for back-bar, server station and back-of-house casework. The requirements are the same as anywhere: wash-down duty, high cycle counts, a hard opening date. The added constraint is that many downtown spaces sit in older buildings with tight access. We measure for the path in as well as the finished install.
